Customer services:

  • Shop: Shop sells gardening wares, local goods and Margery Fish books. Large nursery, with almost all plants grown at East Lambrook. Galleries with artwork for sale at East Lambrook.
  • Tea Room/ Restaurant: Full range available in the Teashop. Wherever possible ingredients are grown in the garden and other foodstuffs are sourced locally.
  • WC: Full toilet facilities available by the shop.
  • Parking: Cars can park in either the paddock car park opposite the main gate or the orchard car park at the top of the property.
  • Seats and benches: Seats and benches dotted around the garden.
  • Average visitor duration: 1 to 2 hours.
  • Accessibility: The gardens are partially accessible. Disabled visitors can access the western portion of the garden including the wooded helleborus garden, the ditch, the strip and the nursery. However, the terraced gardens are unsuitable for wheelchair users, as it comprises of a series of narrow paths. Pushchairs are banned here.
  • No dogs are admitted, excepting guide dogs.

A free map complete with information is provided upon entry. Translations in English, French and German available.

Transport:

  • By Car: Turn off A303 at South Petherton in Somerset and follow brown 'flower' tourist signs into the centre of East Lambrook village. The gardens are in the centre of the village before the Rose & Crown pub. Multimap
  • By bike: The gardens are on Sustrans National Route 33 and Regional route 30. See www.sustrans.org.uk Extensive local cycle routes are covered by the Langport & River Parrett Visitor Centres free pamphlet (01358 250350). They also have a fleet of hire bicycles.
