Tranchot Map – A Topographical Map from 1800-1853

The Garden

The Tranchot map is a topographical map which dates from the period of French rule. It was the first topographical map of the Limburg area to show the geography of the region at that time (the province of Limburg came into existence in 1813 following the Congress of Vienna).
